Bonus points if it's somehow video game related!

This song has my pick, starting at 2:00.
Thare are plenty of versions of this track, but this is my #1.
It makes me close my eyes, grit my teeth, and do the worst air guitar you've ever seen, and I love it.
What's yours? Hit me with it.

Want bonus points ^_^ The solo is so perfect, so organic and beautiful. This video ruined all other ninja gaiden 4-2 guitar covers for me ::fire Solo is at :50 but it's short enough to listen to whole thing :P

This is probably the hardest question I've had to answer here on RGT, so congratulations on that. I'll have to post them over time in here, there's no way I can actually narrow them down right now.
The first one that comes to mind right now at least is probably Floods by Pantera, by the legend who should need no introduction, Dimebag Darrell. Goddamn this solo is something else, and easily his greatest one which is saying a lot. It starts at about 3:48 and runs until about 5:02, but I'd also greatly recommend anyone to listen to the whole song of course.

I'll also drop this specific live performance of Still Got The Blues by Gary Moore here, which is such an unreal performance. The whole thing is filled with him on-and-off phrasing and doing little licks, but specifically when he gets into what I guess you could call the 'main solo' at 4:30 is just damn dude.

...

Okay one more; I absolutely cannot hold back the air guitar when Tony Iommi starts going nuts on the solo in Black Sabbath. Probably my favourite Sabbath solo. Starts at 5:10, its such a chaotic proto-shred.

Give me time, I'll have more.

The one in "Corazon Enchilado" 😋... I mean "Corazon Espinado" (Mana + Santana)
Roundabout by Yes
Whatever the Mars Volta does.
So good! Major Santana fan over here. It has only been in the last year or so I listened to two Yes albums, and I haven't heard this one yet! Once my YT stops crapping out I'll give it a listen.

Oh, and The Mars Volta rule. I listened to their first album with headphones on around midnight and was repeatedly struck whenever a song ended, like This Apparatus Must be Unearthed.

Can't forget the GOAT. Jimi popularized hair raising solos with distortion before Black Sabbath even existed.

Whitesnake - Still of the night

That solo combined with that riff just powers you up into heavens . Just peak, deliquent musical art . Short and rather simple but it slaps way harder than it should .

Damien - Every Dog has its day

It sounds like wild canine ripping and tearing its prey into pieces like it owes its money to that crazy puppo . What a wild ride for a solo . Perfect to its song name and in its context .

Hardware - Halley's Arrival

What can i say about this solo ? It has such power it can solve any energy crisis . Hell , it even gives you so much energy , you wouldnt dare to touch an energy drink for the next few hours and maybe kills your energy drink addiction too !
But bring a pair of fresh pants with you . It just scratches that itch that goes into orgasmic territories( well ... atleast for me ::smirk1 )

Damn dude, I didn't realize Thunder Force goes that hard. Hell yeah.

Oh yeah, of course. I've always been partial to Red House for some of his finest soloing personally.

As far as video games goes, no one is beating the JRPG GOAT, Motoi Sakuraba as far as his soundtracks going hard.

(more of a keyboard synth solo, but it still rocks)

it gets absolutely filthy around the 3:30 mark
That was insane. Holy sheeeeeit ::coolmines
Specifically 8:00 to 8:40
It’s so unbelievably fucking tight and true to the recording that I genuinely just sat with my mouth agape.
Holy hell, I haven't heard this since the MV first dropped! Thanks for the reminder

Thanks for posting that, Octopus' clip wouldn't play for me. That is absolutely bad-ass.

I love the "Are you experienced?" album. One of my favorites of all time.

Ok, for something more Spanish guitar duo style, this totally slaps:
