There have been times when it was offered to me freely and I refused it, later regretting not allowing myself to feel the gluttony of that emotion. Sometimes I thought I deserved a more ripe and luxurious carrot, and ended up with nothing instead. It may be that I've exhausted the possibilities and opportunities of ever finding it in a visage that could fulfill my ego, but it still motivates me to keep moving and not give in to decay and atrophy just yet.
