Games that, in your opinion, have surpassed the test of time and continue as good as when they were first launched, whether in gameplay, story, graphics or all of them.

Here's mine:

One of my favorite games on the PS2 and it's about 21 years old. Test of time really does help but i think it comes down to age and impact because even if a game didn't "age" well it can still leave an impact

From the sprite work to the OST, Gen 2 of Pokemon is one of my most powerful nostalgia summons. Everything I loved about RBY was sent into overdrive, especially in Crystal. I reckon GSC is one of the Four Gaming Horseman that rule my life.

Street Fighter II (all variants).
There is a reason why Street Fighter II popularized the fighting game genre, and why it remains a benchmark to this day. A game that changed the industry and, as a result, had a thousand clones that tried to imitate its success. It has been referenced in TV series, movies, games, and for me, it will never go out of style.

Magna Carta 2 and Metal Arms: Glitch in the system.

2 of the best games you never played.

Final Fantasy 6 , I'm amazed how square could create something in 94 that holds up so well 30 years later.

Half life , well if you are into shooters and haven't tried this classic do you really call yourself a shooter fan? Run think shoot live! Holds up pretty well , shooting is smooth and engaging , puzzles are simple and fun , platforming is nice.

All of the games I grew up with and I still like.
Also 2D platformers have aged way more gracefully than 3D ones, especially the Mario 64 clones.

Star Fox 64.

There's a good reason nobody complains about it "aging badly" like they do with other N64 games like Ocarina of Time and Mario 64.
Players complain about those two aging badly? That's news to me.

I would say plenty of FPS games have aged pretty well. Doom is an obvious one, Serious Sam, Duke Nukem 3D, Wolfenstein 3D. Hell, the indie scene loves them some retro-style FPSs. It's a genre with a devoted fanbase.
