It captured me when I first played it, the combat, characters, and storytelling were all great and it used to be one of my favourite games of all time. But this was in 7th grade, before I fully dipped my toes into the JRPG water of Megami Tensei. But the more I played the other titles in the series such as Abyss, Xillia 1 and 2, Graces F, Zesteria, and Berseria, the more I felt the gameplay and writing didn't match up or appeal to me as they did two to three ago when I played Symphonia. Heck, I also somewhat enjoyed the characters of Emil and Martha along with the monster recruitment of Dawn of the New World. It's still my least favourite, but I actually like the title a fair bit and don't think it's bad. [/QUOTE]
