..................Are the games we play only the ones we play ourselves?
What of this mortal coil, and the games that society puts to us?

When i was young, i found that gaming was an escape to help me cope with the pressures of life. They made the difficult things easier to bare, as i knew i had something positive to look forward to when i slithered home.

I found soles in escapism, and understanding the lessons to over come within them, to grow, and this fed in to my life as i became an adult. The idea of leveling up to achieve a task, often towards a grater goal.

But then i noticed difficulty spikes, often as a response to exploiters who wish to game the system and prevent others from succeeding and being a challenge to their success. With those who allow this doing so out of worship towards them with hope they they too can one day be on their thrown.

We only need to look at the auctioning off of IPv4 addresses to see this now, with the commoditization making for scarcity so to push adoption of ipv6.

So much is happening, and i think i have to thank gaming for waking me up to it so long ago, while the challange is grate, we can over come, we must move forward, onwards and up warrrrrrrrrrrdddddddddsssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

Please ignore this message, like "cake" it is a lie, and it is nothing but an echo of a dead meme that once used to be who i was before my employer enlightened me to the truth of the universe...

Another day of waiting till level 0s lose the ability to make threads.
Is my thread really that disturbing for you Yosef? My understanding was that writing well towards writing guild was the aim?

I know my other difragent can be a problem, i shall endevour to delete it more fully, but when there is time dilation, it does tend to slip in.

You're just maybe not that good at expressing yourself clearly. The point of your threads is muddled.
Yeah i was going for the perspective of a gamer taken over by G-man, who wanted to warn about the effects of the "employers".

Cough: I mean this error will be taken care of, as soon as time dilatation can be mastered.

Well I would say Visual novels are interactive books and not game.
And jrpgs are a mix of books and game.

While monster hunter or Call of booty or C&C and so is what I would call games where you have lots of things to do or activates to do things that makes you activity interact with at all time.

Thank you for your input, i appreciate you and your efforts!

I wish for more input, please help me to learn from this experience! ^^

I got what you were trying to say, took me a while haha, but I'm not in a space to critique someone’s writing.

I think anything can be a game tbh, even something as trivial as a task, they aren't something complex.

Hopefully Level 0’s don't lose the ability, or else who would I bully without repercussion? /j

And i appriciate the bullying, makes me more of a man, i must say, and DARE SAY!

We cannot play the universal game, we are just pawns on the board.
Still, we can still grief the game as much as possible, heh.

More seriously, anything with a win state, lose state and defned rules is a game on some level.

i was wondering if you were roleplaying a character.
i would say to make sure to do through research of the character in question when you decide on this kind of thing. my only clue that you were doing that was the pic of the guy in a business suit. i thought that you were having trouble writing in english at first, or you were translating from google translate or something.

Do you identify yourself with this song?

Scared to answer as the music hits too hard..

Yeah i was going for the gamer being changed in to g-man, and being told what to do, hence life being the grate game.

Wanted interpretations from folks, as i was hoping it would start a conversation, failed miserably as i think i need to study up on the base material a little more T_T.

Viewing life through the lens of a video game has helped me at times too. I've felt more self-assured after overcoming a tough gaming challenge, or when beating a game outright.
The scenario you describe of every member of society fighting one another to win reminds me of PlayStation's "Seize the Throne" campaign, or Mortal Kombat X's advertising. And on a smaller scale, something like Squid Game.

What classifies as a game though? Tough question....something that can be played is the broadest answer I can think to give right now. ::thinking

I never played Half-Life so I was kinda lost, it was a good try but the reference went over my head personally.

I haven't beaten neither Half-Life 1 or 2, all I know g-man is this surreal and misterious guy so I helped me understand the tone of the post. (I think)

But hey, you made a cool surreal thread and people are deconstructing what games are about, idk if that was the direction you were expecting but I'd say your thread was successful ::dkapproves
