Lets get biblical.
Verily, I say unto thee, the chicken did come first, for in the beginning, when the earth was yet without form and void, the Almighty, in His wisdom, created all living creatures according to their kind (Genesis 1:21). Lo, He did not create a mere shell or an unhatched promise, but a creature full and formed, that it might walk upon the earth and fulfill the command to be fruitful and multiply.
For what is an egg without the mother to warm it? And what is life without the hand of the Creator to set it into motion? The egg is but a vessel, a cradle of potential, yet it is the bird that watches over it, as wisdom watches over the soul.
Thus, let no man be deceived into thinking the seed precedes the sower. The divine order is not bound by the measures of men, but by the decree of the Eternal. The chicken was fashioned first, that the egg might follow, and from them both, the cycle of life did commence.
