For example: I really like how, in Deus Ex, the NFS (an underground, largely civilian terrorist movement) shows up wearing conveniently matching uniforms that you can spot from a mile away. The game does a great job at making you not question that until way later, though.

I also like how you can jump off a tall building on GTA Vice City and not kill yourself by doing so, which comes in handy more than a little bit.

What about you?

Quite old for today's standard but in Sakura Taisen games, the game never tell you that you have to pick a choice during timed dialogue choices, letting the timer run out is a completely acceptable respond even in a serious situation, in fact there are some instances where the best choice is not to say anything at all as well. In contrast to some modern games like Telltales' for example, where you are expected and most likely always pick a choice when they are presented to you.

Throwing someone off a ledge in Batman Arkham Asylum, or running someone over in Batman Arkham Knight and having the game try and convince you that they're just fine because Batman doesn't kill

Also this

Just experiencing 3d in general for the first time I would say.

Oh! That reminds me of the "Merciful Soul" thing in Human Revolution as you beat the crap outta people.

It's cool, though! You ain't killing them XD

Sniper elite series.
Started at the Sniper Elite 3, it introduced slow motion bullet tracking camera, also x-ray bullet impact, especially when you got testicle shot... i can almost felt the pain.
How developer got this idea.... honestly i don't know.
This game is nuts.

Most lolz ones:

- The shops are willing to buy even the rubbish you selling, extra lolz if they have unlimited money to give lol

- Item chests everywhere yo

- So easy to make money by even defeating random monsters (do monsters love to eat money or what)

- Often no need to eat, drink, warm yourself up or something. When you are almost dead a potion fixes you up and when a party member died you can just revive them just fine lol

- Enemy cone vision like they are wearing blinkers

Did Someone say Deus Ex????

This is more of an anime thing then a video game thing, but since there are a ton of Dragon Ball Z games it still sort of counts.

I just find it hilarious how time works in the Dragon Ball universe. There could be a five minute time limit for something, and somehow that gets stretched out into like ten episodes.

Reminds me of a meme I saw a while back.

> Krillin gets killed.

Goku: "NOOOOOOOOOO...

(19 episodes later).

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO!".

Link finding the exact item he needs to fight the boss in each dungeon of a Zelda game. XD

Whenever the boss does a single target attack that just so happen to conveniently target the character I just revived making me thing the boss was perfectly fine targetting a corpse or unconscious enemy.

Everything about JRPG combat requires you to suspend your disbelief

No matter how much damage you amass, sleeping one night at the local inn heals all wounds immediately. lol Same with staying in a tent or a sleeping bag.
Everyone wait your turn. We can't just attack all at...HEY! Get back in line! Nobody enters this space between our parties until it's their turn! Jesus! Don't you know anything about battle etiquette!

Actually, the combat system on JRPGs feels painfully real to me: wait for your turn to do something, watch it be completely ineffective, try again, feel like you are chopping down a tree that's staring down at you with pure venom... It's just like going to the DMV ;D!

Getting your rotting zombie flesh disease cured in Morrowind and Divayth Fy just offhandedly tells you "you're immune to all disease now, also you're immortal lol unforseen side effect".
I mean it makes sense for the overall story of the game, it's just always been funny to me how unintentional and unimportant BECOMING IMMORTAL is treated in this game.
