I'm currently plowing through Pokemon Violet DLC. Ended up buying the game about a month ago and I'm blown away by the amount of content there is in the DLC. It's so satisfying and so much fun filling out different Pokedexes! I'm considering trying to build a competitive team and try playing online for the first time.

On my commute I play Kairosoft latest game, Pro Wrestling Story. I think it's a bit on the easier side amongst their games but the gameplay loop is so satisfying and the spritework done for the characters have so much more work put into them comapred to earlier games, so I'm still having a lot of fun with it.

Been catching up with new games.

Beat Space Marine 2 on PC and am now doing the co-op missions with a friend online. The game was a visual FEAST of grimdark fun. I do wish there was more variety of missions though graphically. Story was a little weaker than Space Marine but it's not really about story. It's all about spectacle.

Started Metaphor. I'm a huge Shin Megami guy. Also love Persona so I'm very happy so far! Was stoked to be able to buy the physical collector's edition for PC/Steam.

Also playing Dragon Quest Monsters on the Steam Deck.

Deadlock owns my multiplayer time.

Retro-wise I'm doing some casual run throughs of Turbo CD games for the retro achievements.

I just installed ONI (2001) on my PC so I'll try that. I saw a Youtube video about it's combat system and it fascinated me
Did you know a sequel for that was in development? It never got released sadly, and that's a huge shame because it was quite an ambitious project. It really had the potential to be something special.

I began playing Final Fantasy XII - Zodiac Age again. I never finished this version.
I'm honestly disappointed that unlike X International, this doesn't give you an option for the original License Board. I know the mod BTW.
Overall, the job system is disappointing [in general], and in this game they couldn't even give us costume changes to reflect them. That's like the only good thing about that system! I wish that weapons were shared between jobs more often. Like the only class that can use swords from the beginning is Knight. And my Vaan had to stick to his starting weapon all the way through Barheim.

I recently tried Postal 1 on Android.

I first I found the touch controls to be atrocious (and to the point where I couldn't even beat the first level), then I understood what the devs wanted me to do with those and it became a blast... literally.

For me, it comes in waves. I play games on my switch, but sometimes i fire up the PSP and play games on it for months. And fan-translations always keep me coming back for more.

CURRENTLY: Valkyria Chronicles 3 on the PSP and Pokemon Crystal Clear (open world gen 2 mod)

What are YOU guys playing?

Currently "The Sims: Bustin' Out" on GBA.

The first non-Pokemon portable game I had ever become addicted to.

retro side i was playing Maui Mallad on SNES.

newer gen i'm game jumping between Dynasty Warriros gundam 2 on PS2 Neptunia Sisters vs Sisters on PC (since the other version's censor the cussing) granblue vs rising cause the new DLC charcter is out. other wise that's it.

Sometimes I just don't know why but I've played and replayed way more retro games now more than new ones. Probably because I've discovered a lot of games that's actually great and deserved more attention

Most recently is
PSP: Daxter, Asphalt: Urban GT 2, Wipeout Pure and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
GBA: Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Original Metroid and Hacks
GBC/GB: Legend of Zelda: The Link's Awakening, Donkey Kong
32x: Original Doom and Resurrection, Virtua Racing
SNES: Donkey Kong Country, Original Super Metroid and Hacks

Currently playing;
  • Suikoden (PSX emu via steam deck)
  • MVC Collection (Steam)
  • Threads of Fate (PSX via PS3)
  • Legend of heroes: Trails in the Sky 3rd (Steam)
Completed recently;
  • 1945 1 & 2 (PS2)
  • Ikaruga (GCN emu via Wii)
  • Tatsunoko Fight (PSX via PS3)
  • One Piece: Grand Battle! (PSX via PS3)
  • DonPachi (PSX via PS3)
  • Dodonpachi (PSX via PS3)
  • Sky Crawler Innocent Aces (Wii)

Digimon World 1. It's a broken mess with a lot of confusing breeding mechanics but the vibe is so good. The game becomes a lot more enjoyable when you consider it more a monster raising game not stop being so focused on always making story progress.

I dont know if this counts as retro now or not, but Currently playing Plants vs Zombies again.
if really retro then Im now playing the new translated Princess Crown game for the Saturn, I've been waiting a long ass time for it to get translated so now im not missing a beat.

and I had just finished the Original FF7 still a wonder game

Ah PvZ, I still love that game very much

i'm currently playing Napple Tale: Arsia in Daydream (Dreamcast through emulator).

so far so good. it has a lot of collectibles, from concept art to inner world creatures, which is something i find fun for games to have. the soundtrack is also beautiful, composed by Yoko Kanno.

i've been trying to play Baroque (Saturn) but the first person camera mechanics killed me a little bit.

Since it's spooky season it's gotta be Castlevania! I've been playing Castlevania Legends on GBC recently. Just a little before bed. It's not long so I'm about to finish it.
After that I'll try out one of the PS2 ones, probably Lament of Innocence. Never played any of them past Symphony of the Night but I've played and beaten all of them before that (except Haunted Castle and Arcade?) including the 64 ones LOL

Since it's close to Halloween and the remake recently came out I've been replaying Silent Hill 1-2 . Been playing them on my ps3(cfw). I finished the first one this weekend with the good ending. Gonna start Sh2 later today, after some errands. Probably just going for the Lost ending.

Besides playing through 3DO library I'm diving back into NES particularlly Famicom games I missed out on playing. And thanks to the efforts of translators releasing patches they're 'new games' for me.

currently playing;
  • Samurai Pizza Cats (NES)
  • Mad Stalker: Full Metal Force (GEN)
  • EOS: Edge of Skyhigh (PS1)
  • Jung Rhythm (SAT)
completed recently;
  • Magical Pop'n (SNES)
  • Ultraman Powered (3DO)
  • Makai Prince Dorabocchan (TG16)
  • Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within (PS1)
  • Bouken Danshaku Don: The Lost Sunheart (TG16)
  • Toki: Going Ape Spit (GEN)
  • Chiki Chiki Boys (TCD)
I primarily play retro games on actual hardware, emulation- with the exception for 2 modern games on PS4 which are Street Fighter 6 and The King of Fighters XV versus battles online. I log my progress at HLTB.

Just started playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero.
I want to play every Falcom game released on steam.

I am finally finishing Baldur's Gate 3 (started it in July) and also started playing a few short ps1 games on my anbernic, Ancient Roman and Juggernaut.
