Hi, it's been a while.
My PS Vita has been really good to me, and I love playing the PSP and PS1 games on it as well as some of the homebrew that was made for the Vita...but when it comes to the main PS Vita games, I have a few favorites (mostly referring to 3D games) and that all come down to base performance (without CPU/GPU overclocking). I do like games like Minecraft and Dragon's Crown, I even finished Killzone: Mercernary's single player campaign but I had another game with it while I was slowly checking out the main PS Vita games: Ragnarok Odyssey ACE that was simpler in looks compared to Killzone but ran at a stabler 30 fps by base.
It reminded me of games on the 3DS, but it also made me look about more of the Vita's library though since I had IRL things to do, I looked upon YouTube.
There were games in the action kind of genre that made want to look into them but with the videos that had a fps indicator or had irregularly bright environments with constant slowdown just painted a bad picture in my mind that either those games were poorly optimized or that the Vita was a Windows 7 era CPU trying its best to run some mid to late 2000s games needing a GPU to relieve some heavy strain.
I have heard that the PS Vita had some impressive tech for 2012 and Killzone: Mercernary utilized it for its visuals though I feel that it didn't balance visuals with performance very well like some of the 3DS's games or even a homebrew game called "Purified" which I feel like is the more impressive shooter for the Vita (though, I don't care for 60 fps for my portable games), I still had a good time with Killzone nonetheless.
I still like to hear those who looked about the Vita's library way more than me because the Vita to me is kind-of the last of its kind: powerful and is pocket-portable, sure, we got more powerful devices (most especially our present-day smartphones but what phone comes with physical buttons without hardware add-ons?)
