As the title suggests,it's Western games with Japanese localization, one of those games being Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube where the game is translated into Japanese while the English voice acting is in the game. Which other western games has this?

Hmm? I'm not sure how these count as western games.

Anyway. Super Mario Sunshine, F-Zero GX, or Star Fox Adventures would be more prominent Gamecube games where the voice acting is in English.

RE is a japanese game, and IINM, even the first game was using english VA because the concept is just like that.

So you mean Japanese games in the early 2000's that were made to appeal to the western audiences?

As otogirisou said, Resident Evil 4 is a japanese game, it's not western. Where did you get that info?

Any Resident Evil game has this, and also Silent Hill but the last one, Dino Crisis, Rule of Rose, Haunting Ground, Kuon, etc. Mostly horror games I have to say, but all of them are japanese games.

But back to the topic, there are dozens western titles with japanese voice acting: The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Hellblade, Control, Life is Strange, Horizon, Mass Effect and The Last of Us, to mention some.

...Games that successfully psyopped people into getting their country of origin wrong would be a fun category.

Indeed. It's kind of funny how people stablishes a game is from a specific region only by their voice acting. That's kind of an american thinking, where they want to have absolute everything dubbed to their language first, so any game from an american developer would have english dub regardless if the game's look is very japanese.

EDIT: That fable deserves a commercial :D
