Weird things you have sighted in your area?

What are some delightfully odd or out-of-place things you have noticed in your area?

I have seen someone owning (and driving) an old vehicle akin to a Fort T kept in perfect shape.

I have also seen three vehicles and one place sporting Poland's coat of arms (my city has no Polish minority).

What are some of your favorite odd head-turners?

There’s a small and barely thriving flea market/ farmers market that occasionally has bunch of giant carnival rides and games that takes up a whole 2 blocks. And there’s this one small and tiny building in my area that almost every 2 or 3 years that changes to a whole different thing, goes it was a karate class, then it was a bakery, then a hair salon and now it just sits that as a basic tiny thrift store…Gosh I love Florida sometimes <3

Not really a weird one but quite a head turner a yellow Volkswagen Beetle the vintage model of course the one that has its engine on the back of the car and the trunk is in front. I can’t recall I first saw it but I’m sure I was a little twerp back the late 80s to early 90s I suppose. The thing is after decades I still regularly see that car as if it hasn’t age, probably because that car was well maintained.

I'm not good with cars. So I'm gonna say it was from the 70s. Like a pimp mobile sort of car. And it was covered with bells and horns. It was bizarre. I guess it's some kind of hobbyist thing. But there were so many attached to the car. I also saw an RV with a 40s style car chained to each end. I guess it's a pretty good security measure to protect your cars. Or your RV. In this neighborhood probably both.

The best I could think of is Mike Wazowski on a "place for ad" banner and a cow skull (I don't have a picture of that but you'd probably not want to see it). Both of those thing are gone now.

One day i was walking in a street, and there was an underground bakery and its narrow horizonal windows was open... i think there wasn't anyone present there at that moment...

Suddenly a dove landed on edge of its window, and started to looking very curiously into it!
And then jumped into there!
I laughed so hard! that was very memorable for me!

A long time ago, when I was in middle school, we would often be visited by a black 3-legged cat. He'd pop under the gates into the playground most days to say hi. They were beautiful, and everybody loved them.

Weird stuff is my norm so it's hard to pin point what would be odd, but for a time a Tesla with a massive Pac Man decal covering the whole car drove around here a year or 2 back. And growing up there used to be an old pink Cadillac with longhorn horns on the hood that cruised the neighborhood, haven't seen it in years.

I saw an older man who clearly couldnt walk but refused help. He was leaning against the shopping cart to keep himself upright and he got really angry at his wife for offering to help, wouldn't let any of the employees help. Sad guy fell on his stomach before I left the store and uh he was still refusing help. Toxic Masculinity is a hell of a drug..


Tho now that I think about it; idk if that's weird or just really sad..

Not so much a thing as an animal. I have only ever seen him three times in my life, but there is a large, and I mean freaking large, albino deer in my area. The damn thing has to stand at least as big as a roided-out elk. It is snow white with pink eyes. It’s creepy looking, but I have only ever seen him at night. (Probably a vampire) Joking aside, he's a big mofo.

I drive a 1990 Chevy 3500, and his head is over the top of the cab.

Someone about 2 blocks away from me owned a Corolla E100 with Miku livery, my manager who lives not far from here owned a green Fiat 127.

Occasionally, the locals hold a small carnival, it's always being held across the goddamn hospital. No one complains though.

I used to live in a worse part of the city(like guy got stabbed on my corner bad), and we had the windows open bc it was summer.

4am we wake up to some dude yelling "I'm haaaaard! I'm haaaaard!'

One time we woke up and someone was screaming we thought it's a child crying turns out it's a neighbor fighting his wife.


That same crazy neighbor would be heard later also fighting her and she letting loose some scary screams.



Another time i was studying and some dude was talking on the phone i think he was on the balcony half naked then he started cursing and saying 2 dude names and cursing and cursing saying it so loud it was so funny.

This was in jordan now in syria i haven't seen much yet well aside from a donkey and some gypsies but that's not like a rare sight here.
