Every year, at the end of June, the weather starts to become particularly hot at home. The summer can be pretty hard... I think most of you, guys, know what I mean.

Sippin' a beer or an iced tea, licking some ice cream might help you to support the warm weather. But do you have a special game for the occasion, a game that help you to cool your head and body ?

Each summer, I like playin' Final Fantasy X. I think you can guess why... there is a lot of water !

What about you ?

"Riptide GP: Renegade", a racing game on water with futuristic sceneries, I played it both on Android and then on Switch (much better with buttons), I could "feel" the water, I recommend it ::coolstafy

I find Yoku's Island Express to be a pretty great Summer Game. A nice tropical vibe, and a unique mix of Metroidvania and Pinball.

Best Summer themed games:
Super Mario Sunshine
Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball
Dead or Alive Paradise
GTA Vice City
GTA San Andreas
Wave Race 64
Wave Race Blue Storm

Corpse Party
Rune Factory series
Disgaea series
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 and 2
MGS4
Chrono Trigger

Jak and Daxter 1 feels like a good summer adventure, so colorful and filled with beaches, jungles, and such. The music also sounds kinda exotic I'd say.

Spyro 1. I can't exactly point what it is but this one specifically gives me off more summer vibes that the other Spyro games. The OST goes so hard too.

Yakuza 3 has clear summer vibes, being in Okinawa next to the beach. I remember the gameplay being kinda frustrating at the beginning of the game, but it got better later on and the rest of the game is just as good as you'd expect from Yakuza ;)

Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 also feel like summer games to me, starting on a beach on KH1 and at the end of summer vacations on KH2, and then the general aesthetic of the games, idk they just give me summer vibes :D

Persona 4 also feels like a perfect game for summer. I first played it on summer vacations so maybe I'm a bit biased on that opinion, but the setting of moving to a rural japanese town to spend the year with the murder mystery around and hanging out with your friends. Good vibes and a very special game to me.

I like playing Pokémon in summer, because the whole premise feels like a summer vacation to me. Just walking around in the countryside seeing cool animals.
I also like playing MMOs because they're very relaxing to me, so it's a good kind of winding-down-game.
Oh, and Sea of Thieves!

chrono cross is the single player game that feels most like summer to me
mabinogi is probably the multiplayer game that most feels like summer to me
you can almost smell the sunshine

Far Cry 2 and Resident Evil 5, because those games' oppressive african setting and bleak atmospheres (and the latter's hit-or-miss late 2000s shock horror) just go well with the relentless heat waves of this time of year.

For games with water, BioShock 1 & 2 easily fit.

Boku no Natsuyasumi series, Taiko no Tatsujin and Mr. Mosquito.

I always come back to Super Princess Peach over the summers. There is something so comfy and light hearted about it. Can really turn the brain off and play a silly platformer that only really gets recognized for one of two jokes.
I think this game is under appreciated but it sparked a deep joy in me when I first played it.
