There are some certain things in older and new Video Game, that may have been used once, or just forgotten. Maybe the idea was good but just need to be worked on more. These types of things could be used for New Games, if enough attention was brought to the topic. Maybe you all know more, no matter the genre. Physical like cards or digital.

For card examples; Remember stuff like the Naruto, Duel Masters, Dragon Ball Series, Bakugan Battle Brawlers. Gundam Cards and more?

Here are some Examples:

Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2 & 3 Maps & Other Mechanics:

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses:

Had seen somebody tried to remake it (If it is Dead. Maybe somebody could pick it up, add a multiplayer option):

Parasite Eve Game's Battle Systems & Other:

Koudelka & Shadow Hearts Battle Systems & Other:

Those 90's Point and Click FMV Games, where they use Real People. For this one, maybe it is that most do not know how to make them, or not enough people, schedule issues.

The cel shading like Wind Waker and Jet Set Radio. I would love to see it again, especially in the new Okami. It's really nice to look at

oh they know how to make FMV games and make em as cheesy as ever

... don't ask me how I know.

Any game would be 10% better just by adding Gears of War's active reloads in my humble opinion.

Getting rid of the level up systems on open worlds games that doesn't need them And also bring back simple interfaces because some on new games look like they came from a Mobile game.

Dead Space 3 had an Unfinished Multiplayer Concept where one Player would see an Illusion, that the other Player didn't. If this is brought back and worked on more, as much as folk like Horror, it could be a Fun Experience... Maybe somebody could make an Article or Thread about Game's Original or Unfinished Concepts & Designs. This could be good for Future Game Developers and Whoever else.

"I remember when I was playing as Carver and I began seeing all these dark, sadistic, children's birthday decorations everywhere. I called my friend over who was playing as Isaac and was like "dude look at this its creepy!" He walked over and asked what I was talking about. I said "Look at what I'm looking at!" He responded "What are you looking at?" I began shooting and said "Look where I'm shooting!" He said "I don't see anything, you're just shooting at a wall." I then began freaking out and said "Wait, you cant see this?" He couldn't see it, and this feeling of isolation washed over me in real life. He could not perceive my reality in the slightest. This was my favorite moment about Dead Space 3 and its something I will never forget as I have never experienced anything as chilling as that in a game before. It messed with me psychologically."

The Paragraph is from this Video's Comment Section:

I miss the cgi pixel art style of the mid to late 90s (donkey kong country, mario rpg, killer instinct snes, etc). i thought it was a really great style, but then it just got abandoned abruptly once "real" 3D became possible on consoles...

and its something that has never really seen much of a revival

i like to hack at it in my free time, tryin to develop a style/pipeline.

i have an artstation collection with some of my experiments, if anyone is interested

^^this is my favorite style of shader.. i kinda hate the "plastic" shader style that gets thrown around in modern "lowpoly" games (such as links awakening for switch)
