*everytime players see laura in remake*
Don't worry kiddo I just want to kill you with all bullets I have because seal me with that weird momster! It is fine right?

Well at least Silent Hill 2 is not a generic "my wife is dead" BS, it is art!!!! lol

I agree but not as great as the first game for me .

Nothing beats " polite worried father asks people where his daughter is with many guns and melee-weapons ".

Hits more home to me . I wouldnt be different when i became a father too and search my lost daughter that way .

Ha that is a good one

Well yeah, lots of video games are about looking for some missing person but Silent Hill 1 manage to make this topic a significant occurance by making it relatable despite the player may never had a family of its own.

So as a player roleplaying as a father everything your character does and can do makes sense. When your daughter is missing you wouldn't care if you fell into Silent Hill or hell, you would tear apart the damn monsters for your baby girl's safety!!!! lol

But Silent Hill 2 has another taste. You can relate how love is if you ever experienced it, but at least the game is more than basic human emotions. It goes deep into it and becomes an artwork. Played the game decades ago and professionally educated in the field of psychology so I can do my job, yet still to this day I can randomly have epiphany moment that make me realize an aspect of the game I never did before. Silent Hill 2 is surprisingly very educational regarding psychology, and also it satisfy me as art-wise. But regarding other stuff the game has to offer, the story is not so deep as in the goal and plot twist is "meh" lol.

James Sunderland walks into a bar and he orders a Bloody Mary but the bartender says "ah man, we don't have the ingredients for it but if you have them in the trunk of your car I can serve you one ASAP" so James says "oh right, dude, I forgot what was in my trunk. Thanks for reminding me". lolol
