No... I won't destroy my property that I paid for.

This is so backwards. They can't even be arsed to kill games themselves now? They expect us to do it? It's like they took one look at the SKG campaign and decided that we had issues with THEM doing the destruction instead of letting us handle that bit.

Honestly this is how paying for a product always was but they just made it obvious.

The owner of the product is always the company that legally owns the product by having legal right over it. Customers only pay for a license to use the product. That being said company that owns the product has the right to take back the product or make customers cannot use the product at any time they want. It means instead of ownership people only have a legal right to use until legally they are not allowed. So nothing changed. This is like common sense at this point lol. But it doesn't mean it doesn't sucks lol. Capitalism ho lol.

So in this regard customers legally allowed a right to use in many ways. Customers can sell the product or give it to whoever they want. However things get way more strict in digital realm because digital platforms are a service so you cannot sell or give service unless the company that offers service allows you, that's why selling your Steam account is forbidden and giving your Steam account is in grey area lol.

Because digital games have turned into a service model it gives legal right to company to end the service any time they want. In that regard it's like buying a ticket to watch a movie so the company doesn't have to always allow you to watch the movie even if you have the ticket. Companies are free to provide whatever service they want without breaking laws. Ubisoft does not break laws but they may in specific countries, but what they break is social laws that means who would rent a license to play a game at this point? When sales dropped they will return to good old physical era or they will have no choice but to follow GOG's way of servicing customers lol.

ubisoft is gonna fire even more employees in the next following months cheers to that bro

It's okay because they have AIs at home that writes codes and dialogues, makes design of anything, generates images and textures, decide the whole script, design missions and side content, et cetera. Soon they will make their CEO an AI too lol.

Dystopian wording in that last sentence. "You must destroy the copy" ummmm how about you destroy your failing company with zero good reputation???????
They probably don't want their games getting passed around for free. Can't stop preservation. Can't stop piracy. Where there's a will, there's a way!

What If I simply refuse to accept the contract Ubigreed can't force me.Fuck all those greedy and evil tactics the can stick there new Demands up there butts. And I am sure that it is Illegal what Ubigreed here Demands with destroying your already owned and payed for Games.

Ubisoft games already feel like they're developed by AI so I'm not sure that'll have that much of an impact on the quality of their games. Almost all of their games follow the Assassin's Creed open world model. They'll just train an AI to build games exactly like that, something their developers have been doing for nearly 20 years now.
