Okami was added because Japanese players had a great time with it. Also how they played it and it was so joyful for them they were shedding happy tears.

I get teary eyed when something really cool and beautiful is happening. I don't think I have cried per say at a game but got close to tears of joy.

The only game that ever made me cry was a chinese JRPG called "Xuan-Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmament".

It's not well known, and for good reasons: full of repetitive and bland dungeons, the game is buggy and the gameplay is borderline bad. However, the story is awesome, full of plot twists and really, really emotional.

Agreed. The ending and also the part were Kaim is coming back to his daughter and the whole events which happen afterwards.

Two of those are strategy rpgs so I guess they wouldn't count? Crisis Core is also more of an action rpg.

I didn't mention Final Fantasy VII because the moment was spoiled for me
