abyss-ranks-6th-in-a-japanese-poll-of-top-10-rpgs-that-made-v0-tnfdi8bnn6jf1.jpeg

a recent ranking of many jrpgs that were voted as the most emotional ones/made you cry, about their endings and various certain scenes, mostly, as it was obvious, ff games most of them won

the list was pmuch this

- ff10
- ff7 ccore
- persona 3
- okami
- mother 3
- tales of abyss
- dq 11
- ff9
- suikoden 2
- ff15

other tales games, were legendia (11th place) xillia 2 (29th) and destiny dc (39th)

ps: also gais, soon we get most likely a tales xillia 1 remaster, lets go

tell that to the Japanese 👀

my guess, they mostly added okami, cuz the story reminds of a jrpg one and the whole atmosphere

Yup, checks out.
P3 made me bawl like a baby last year.

Seems like a pretty good ranking, Im playing Abyss rn and Im loving it.
It's a great game ,shame I dropped it due to life and now I don't even know how to get back in

Okami was added because Japanese players had a great time with it. Also how they played it and it was so joyful for them they were shedding happy tears.

The only game that ever made me cry was a chinese JRPG called "Xuan-Yuan Sword: The Gate of Firmament".

It's not well known, and for good reasons: full of repetitive and bland dungeons, the game is buggy and the gameplay is borderline bad. However, the story is awesome, full of plot twists and really, really emotional.

Lost Odyssey has some very teary moments.

This list is strange. FF X, but not FF 7? Really?

And I love Okami but like I said it's not an rpg.

İs mother 1 and 2 necessary for mother 3?

For me,

Valkyria Chronicles
Final Fantasy VI
Jeanne D'arc
Crisis Core

Two of those are strategy rpgs so I guess they wouldn't count? Crisis Core is also more of an action rpg.

I didn't mention Final Fantasy VII because the moment was spoiled for me
