Anime Tokusatsu Thread

Seems like the most fitting place for one I love Ultraman Kamen Rider and have seen some Metal Hero and other things
are any of you familiar with it. if so what have you seen and what are your favorites?

I've seen Ultraman, Ultraseven, (one of my favorites), Ultraman Max, Ultraman Taro, Ultraman Blazar, Ultraman Arc, some of Ultraman 80, Tiga and one episode of Ultraman Cosmos, (I do have an Ultraman forum on here though).

For Kamen Rider, I've only watched Kamen Rider Wizard and have just watched a few episodes of Kamen Rider Fourze, Kuuga and Agito.

I enjoy most Sentai shows to start with, but I do tend to drop them before the end. Only one I've seen all the way through was Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger. The one that was the parody show of themselves.

If anybody is into blurays I recommend Discoteks releases, they actually announced Kamen Rider Jungle at Otakon recently. I'm pretty casual when it comes to tokusatsu but I've been enjoying Kamen Rider X for the past couple of days.

The video compilation of this show still cracks me up. I love it.

I keep forgetting too that this Spider-Man show apparently inspired Toei to put giant robots in their Sentai shows. So, in theory, the Power Rangers having Megazords is due in part to Supaidaman!

I seen some older Godzilla movies with my dad and my older brother when I was younger.
Nowadays, I completely watched all of the episodes of Kamen Rider Decade and Kamen Rider Geats who have some of my favorite Kamen Rider suits.
I wanted to also completely see all of Kamen Rider Agito's episodes through the Internet Archive but...*sigh*: It's been taken down...oh well, there's probably other ways to see but I don't really find much time to see it all again myself.

I was one of those kids that enjoyed power rangers to only then later realize that the OG sentai stuff existed and is honestly really great if not often times better! Uh that said; since I've been getting into tokusatsu I've gravitated towards Kamen Rider stuff a lot :3 my first series was Zero-One and I've since seen a good chunk of the OG, several of the standalone movies and some of Ex-Aid! I've seen a little Ultraman too and I love all the classic Kaiju films I've seen (mostly the Godzilla/Mothra films and Mechagodzilla!

I think right now though my favorite tokusatsu-anything has to be Mechanical Violator Haikaider! Such a stunning aesthetic and world. I love this movie so much!!

Also shout out to tokusatsu spiderman and SPACE WOLF JASPEON <3 <3 <3

Toei have an official Tokusatsu YouTube channel with a bunch of playlists. I wager you would need a VPN to watch most of them though
