Genesis Time Killers (USA, Europe) Sega Genesis

I only played the arcade version and it was very regular and on top of that it was very difficult to pass. but the Mega Drive/Genesis version would overlook it and I don't miss anything.

That's why I like this site, just when I thought I seen them all, there's new games I never knew existed.
Haha cool to know!
this game true to its named, the Time Killers 🤣.
The release would have been questionable even one year after the arcade release. When it came out? absolutely pointless.
The arcade original isn't awful, but it's fairly mediocre once you get past the grody dismemberment mechanic.

This Genesis port, on the other hand, is probably better utilized by removing the cartridge from the console and just using it as a furniture shim.
This and it's sequel Bloodstorm had such unique concepts it's a shame the execution and mechanics didn't match up to how cool it should have been. This was a holy grail game for me for a while after seeing it in a gaming mag and once I found it in the wild I was quite dissapointed.
Yeah I bet a lot of people had a similar experience. To some extent I feel Eternal Champions and Primal Rage also kind of fit this "could have been great" liminal space.
agreed wholeheartedly
