Yeah it turned an OK port into an excellent one. It's just a shame Super Street Fighter wasn't chosen for this treatment.

Not only that, also. The sound driver is rewritten for much cleaner voices, a lot of backgrounds are redrawn for more detail (Chun-LI's, E. Honda's) and palettes are improved massively.

It is definitely one of my favorite SF2+/SF2SCE Romhacks and it is because the game looks more colorful and beautiful than the original and it feels a good facelift graphically both in the palettes of the Character Sprites and as well as in the Scenarios and also that it has a Better HUD redesign and the Original Font that is Replaced by the CPS2 font and victory quotes by the KOF 2002 font and also with a somewhat improved sound driver.

I am always happy for more praising and glazing of the excellent Genesis port. I find the Genesis port better than SNES version of Hyper Fighting. Soundtrack wise, the Genesis game is way more accurate to the arcade, and keeps in the blood on the portraits in all versions of the game. The SNES version censored the blood in America/UK/EU.
