apparently it'll only be Reimu and Marisa playable, something we hadn't seen in a main game since Subterranean Animism in 2008. i've been following the series for about 16 years now and am maybe in a bit of a waning period of enthusiasm right now, but i'm looking forward to the usual frantic excitement of release night, as long as i dont have work the next morning.

thinking on it some more, i am interested to hear how the music will be for this one. i know that's kind of a basic assessment for any Touhou game but the last several entries, ZUN has been really mixing up his styles each time, especially with some completely new instrument sample choices in 19. i want him to do some really weird percussion for the rock theme going on, maybe like one of the tracks off the new CD last year:
