You just got access to a time machine, with it you can go back to the past and change one moment in gaming:
What would you change?

Examples:

Warn SEGA about releasing the Sega Saturn out of the blue in America
Persuade Capcom not to add DRM to their CPS3 board
Make Nintendo add a disc-drive to the N64 and not loose FF7
Stop Microsoft from making online gaming have a monthly fee

Warn Keiichiro Toyama and Shuhei Yoshida not to shift (ha!) Gravity Rush form the PS3 to the Vita.

I believe this single decision is what ultimatly led to the closing of Japan Studios.

GR is an awesome game in it's concept and gameplay (also Kat is one of the best protagonists in gaming) and really should have goten a better fate than being just "an hidden gem in a dead console". I know GR got an console sequel but I can't shake the feeling GR would be a MASSIVE franchise if it started it's life as an console exclusive. Or maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part, who knows?

In the end, I can't really blame anybody. Nobody would predict the Vita failing as hard as it has and burring every game along with it. For one, I'm glad I can find Vita games in the Repo

Using dual-positive singularities that produce a standard off-set Tipler Sinusoid I go back to to change the past. I end up creating a separate timeline when I travel back to stop the failed Saturn release.
When I try to return I end up traveling to the future of the new timeline only to find Sonic doesn't really exist in the future. Bubsy is the biggest thing ever, and Bubsy 3D was an insanely successful game.

If I'm allowed to be ultra greedy and change multiple things about a single project I'd have changed a lot about the Vita's launch, far too many to list here. If I can only change 1 thing I'd convince Sega to focus on 3D sooner, ideally so the Saturn maintains its current 2D prowess but just had a better architecture for 3D engines that makes it less of a nightmare to port stuff to.

I believe this single decision is what ultimatly led to the closing of Japan Studios.
Japan Studios had an indie spirit in a triple-A company. Their way of developing games was more experimental than Sony liked and tended to produce less-than-acceptable profits. I don't believe there was any one event that caused the studio's downfall; rather, it was a matter of time before Sony's focus on triple-A successes rendered Japan Studios obsolete.

Shuhei Yoshida, a former Playstation executive, is on record saying as much. He explained how Keiichirō Toyama had many more game concepts to offer after Gravity Rush but couldn't get anything green-lit because they were too small in scope. As much as I love Gravity Rush and would love to see the series continue, I think Sony will never see the IP as anything more than niche.
