The first film was fantastic, was super surprised at how much I liked it. Probably the best thing to come out of Mario since 3D World.

Like I say, the best video game-to-screen translations tend to be those which take liberties but capture the spirit and heart, and though it will pale in comparison to Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, watching The Super Mario Bros. Movie should prove to be an endearing time-killer.
