I've been testing this and the PS1 mouse out just to double check what games it works with.

Straight-up DOES work with Action Bass, Bass Landing (duh), Bass Rise, Big Ol' Bass 2, Killer Bass (JP version, PSXDataCenter says the censored "Monster Bass" ver. released in NTSC doesn't support it, but I'm wondering if that's true -- probably is).

Doesn't work with Fisherman's Bait 1, although it does with 2.
It only works with Reel Fishing 1 as a regular controller alternative, but isn't properly supported. RF2 does support it as its own controller though. (Also, only the JP version of RF2 known as Fisheyes 2 supported the PocketStation for something, wonder what that does).
Saltwater Sportfishing does not support it at all.
Winning Lure (JP-exclusive) sort of supports it as a controller replacement, but I'm not sure it's 100% compatible and that game actually has some exclusive Hori fishing rod with an actual fishing line attached to a motor that simulates the in-game tension, I think. Stupid they couldn't support the other rod controller though.

That's all I've tested so far. Oh, no, I tested Soul Blade because I remember the Dreamcast Soul Calibur game supports the fishing rod on that but at least the NTSC ver. doesn't support it -- just operates as a regular controller. Although I see on PSXDataCenter that it supports the NeGcon controller, so I'm curious if that does anything special (probably not).

This apparently also works with some PS2 games (don't think the PS2 had any native rod controllers did it?). Can test those too or any other PS2 fishing games if anyone's interested. I really hate all the "I think it works"-type posts on Reddit and stuff and no actual confirmations.

Also, Command & Conquer 1, Warhammer: Shadow Of The Horned Rat, and Doom 1 (and 2) on PS1 definitely don't support the PS1 mouse. Even though Saturn Doom 1 (and 2) had mouse support. And even though the later C&C and Warhammer games do on PS1. Alien Resurrection supports it, Alien Trilogy doesn't (on either Saturn or PS1, I believe).

I saw on some Digipress forum a guy listed Wild Arms 1 as having mouse support, but I'm so completely sure that it doesn't I'm not even going to try it because that makes no sense (none of the regions on PSXDataDenter say it supports it either).
