What’s a good classic fire emblem for a total newbie?

As the resident fire emblem expert(no i m not ajjss) i will say FE3 if you are into snes era greatness, fe8 is the real middle between modern and classic and FE11 is the goat.

is it fine if you elaborate a bit more on 8 and 11? I’m curious why those over 7 or 6 (not that I’m doubting you sis, im your sis, , I’m mainly going by common consensus)

Fire emblem 8 is both very easy to enter in terms of being one of the easiest Fire Emblem(the gba fire emblem are very easy tbh) but alwo being a self contained history, while fe6 and fe7 are both part of a bad connected story (The Elibe games) fe7 is the prequel but is clearly not very well connected to FE6 already not so strong story. Also the pacing of FE7 feels like very patronizing, the tutorial is fucking 10 chapters and is unskippable unless you play an already completed save.

FE11 is a remake of the first Fire emblem and in my opinion is very fun and combines the best aspects of modern and classic Fire emblem (a lot of units for permadeath, weapon triangle and customization via reclassing). Is far from perfect and the graphics is something that is either you care or not but i really think is a great fire emblem both for beginners and experienced players

I c I c, I tend to actually mesh really well with “remakes of first games” and someone else already recced 11 too so I may go with that. Thanks sis!
