Hi everyone, while browsing some ps1 classics to play on my phone I decided to revisit some oldies from back when I was a little kid. I downloaded every playstation game I could remember but then I remembered one that currently has me scratching my head because for the life of me I simply cannot find it anywhere. As the title of this post suggests, this was a videogame based on the 1987 movie "Hellraiser". I cannot remember many details about this game as it's been almost two decades since I first saw it, you see, my father used to bring home all kinds of pirated videogames that we could play in an old emulator called "connectix virtual game station". I remember he came home with a pirated copy of Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX and another game that kind of disturbed me a little bit. In the cover there was a cropped shot of Pinhead's face with the classic 'Playstation' callout to the side. I can't even remember if the cover said 'Hellraiser' anywhere. Anyways, he inserted the game in the CD tray and tested it. The only thing I remember was the game opening with a man (who I assume was Pinhead) raising his arms while some sort of magic thing happened. You spawned in what looked like a museum and I think there were crystal counters in a room at the very center. I honestly don't remember much since the game probably freaked me out enough to avoid watching anymore. Honestly, I wish I had more information but this is all I can remember without making stuff up.
Maybe it was never even a Hellraiser game, but rather a videogame some guy in a flea market burned to a CD and thought it would be a good idea to put a Hellraiser cover to. If anyone has any info or what I describe resonates with you, please let me know, I've been trying to remember more about the game but I simply cannot find anything about a Hellraiser title for the PS1. I'll ask my brother as he was also there when dad brought this videogame home.
Thank you for reading this, have a great night!
