The cover art is better than the game itself.
There's a hack here to fix the problem (I haven't played it yet, but I would like to)View attachment 122935
I have a weird fascination with this game ever since I laid my eyes on the box art. So far, I love it but the encounter rate is so unreasonably high.
Honestly this game doesn't do anything different in the history of JRPGs. It's just not like new JRPGs targets little kids. However this encounter rate becomes problematic when the game sometimes goes too hard on environmental puzzles. It's no spoiler but most of the game they intentionally designed some levels in a way it's not clear where you should go and you have to follow a specific path and do specific stuff before you can progress. The positive aspect is in this game you never have to grind EXP because until you pass levels you level up enough, bad aspect is your items won't be enough to survive sometimes despite you started the journey with max item capacity so you may have to repeat some levels thrice or something so it calls for grinding money instead. Also the game doesn't have simple turn based battle and it's more like tactical turn-based combat you have to move around and when it comes to narrow places shit gets too bothersome. Yet the gameplay is not that bothersome than Breath of Fire 4 at least.View attachment 122935
