Video games can be hard. Video game can be very, almost punishingly hard. Some test your patience and skills until you smash past any and all limits you thought ever possible. Some just crush you beneath their heel and call it a day. Out of every video game out there which one would you say is the absolute HARDEST?

Syobon Action. The OG frustration central. To be fair though both Syobon Action and I Wanna be the Guy are trial and error hard rather than HARD hard. Once you memorize the patterns you can consistently beat them.

there are i think 2 video games where you do, to some extent, fight your ex-wife in the game. or at least involve divorce. takeshi's challenge, and i think there was an arnold schwarzenegger game on the nes.
i will say, in regards to the original point of the thread; a lot of nes and snes games are going to get listed here. i say that the trip mode in balloon fight is pretty difficulty. a lot of games on the nes are pretty hard.

Ugh, trying to remember games I thought were hard, but for the right reasons.. I wanted to say Pokémon but that's just hard for me because I can't stand it.. Same with Yoshi's Story because of all the happy la-la shit and bright pastels, I can't get through two levels of that shit.

I wanna guess, Toadette's Kaizo Tuesday or Invictus, but I beat those..

I think I broke part of my hand and the gamepad I was using when I beat Invictus.

Hardest RPG. SMT 3/DDT on hard
Hardest RTS. For me it was Warcraft 3 (But I just suck at RTS in general)
Hardest Twin Stick shooter. Hotline Miami 2 on hard and some levels in the workshop.

you remind me of freeza from dragon ball super when he got wished back from hell and was complaining about the teddy bears and fairies that were playing around and signing to him the entire time. i can't remember what he said, but he was very infuriated with their constant upbeat, cheery demeanors and stuff like that.

I beat IWBTG back in highschool and I can say is tough but not the hardest game. It took me well over 1200+ attempts, most of which were on the last boss due to rng on some of its attacks.

Is not even that tough compared to other games that have The Kid as the protagonist. I Wanna Kill the Kamilia or I Wanna be the Love Trap are far and away tougher than IWBTG.

i had that game when i was a little kid. got it at a flea market. no booklet, no box or nothing, just the game. i couldn't figure out how to progress past the map, just moved around in circles on that screen until i got bored, and then played some balloon fight.
