I recently listened to Pink Floyd's album "The Dark Side of the Moon," and it's honestly wonderful. One song in particular caught my attention and won't leave my head: "The Great Gig in the Sky." It has no lyrics, just a vocal, but it's such a strong vocal, it's as if one vocal says a thousand words. It's hard to explain, but it's as if the music expresses deep feelings like fear, pain, ecstasy, resignation, and transcendence. Life, death, freedom, the beginning and end of life. Honestly, this music is magnificent. This album itself is one of the best to date. Does anyone else here like this music?

Sure do. Incidentally, I think the original vocalist on that track (Clare something?) got a flat session fee and zero residuals on the album, which is criminal. Still, killer song, killer record. I may not be a stoner anymore, but Floyd and Zeppelin will always have a place in my rotation.

It was the first Pink Floyd song that caught my attention when I was a teen. It was a spiritual awakening, and I didn't do drugs. Second song was Learning to Fly.
