The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered

Interesting, I guess adding Type1/Type2 might result in more sales by sheer amount of free marketing as a side effect of the controversy surrounding it, then the cost of actual real lost sales over it.
That's some 4D chess but then again Japanese devs also do that despite not having the same cultural sensibilities as a NA video game (LGBT+ there don't get as many rights yet they also don't mind crossdressing and yaoi/yuri in their media, it's a bit dissonant).

But what's the initial intent behind using the term Type for the body when it was referring to the body shape.

I don't have any example of hyped modern AAA game that wasn't involved in any shape of form with some kind of stupid controversy.

And I cant but find ironic that the publisher here has some dirt about their transphobic management to bury. Pinkwashing is a thing.

No idea what you're talking about but the fact that a Type C/D cannot be implemented makes this naming not only useless but also redundant.

"Type A and Type B yet Type B still cannot expose their chest and that gender defined clothing is still not applicable to Type A."

I have posted the relevant article in the last page, but here it is for you again :

As for the bodytype stuff in your fantasy videogame, IDGAF sorry.

I care, Because I want more character customization on the entire characters' bodies

including playing with a short masculine character
Lemme play as a Goblin, Dwarf or Kobold

that's why renaming Male and Female into Body Type 1 and 2 is such a huge JOKE! ::apollo

Saints Row allowing to have a developed chest or dressing with any kind of clothing was a better choice imo.

Heck, I just want to see actually varied body types as a separate option.

It's a mixture of both. A requirement from Microsoft if there's a character creator to have the game released on their platform. It could also be that these major AAA studios see it as any attention to the game is good attention. Either way, none of this matters at all because based on the sales of Oblivion Remastered it has shown no one cares about Body Type. Same with Monster Hunter Wilds. People just like to complain on the internet.

I ain't gonna get into the current conversation there. It doesn't affect gameplay, everyone looks like gorillas in the game anyway, took me like 4 hours and a restart to make my Breton chick not look like a zombie.

But I'm really messing with it. I love that they kept it relatively unchanged. The new way of leveling up really helps out, and it's gonna get more people into the game which is badass.

I like how all the weapons have unique combo patterns to them instead of the basic Elder Scrolls wildly swing left and right the whole time, and the new dodge mechanic in Acrobatics really helps in those Oblivion Gates.

Oblivion is my favorite TES game, I love the vibe of classic european style fantasy that Cyrodiil has, mixed with the Power Metal Cover Art style that Oblivion has.

Hopefully they do this for Morrowind as well, because as fire as that game is, the dice roll based combat in a first person real time combat game needs to go.

I played more tonight and I think I'm done with this. Unreal Engine 5 needs to go away. I'll stick to the original.

Did you try using the ray tracing remover mod on Nexus. I got the game to run stable 30 on Steam Deck with that. Unless you're talking about the bugs. That just comes par for the course with Bethesda.

I actually don't like the leveling at all, as a solution.
Primarily because it completely removes the original point of the system: That as you use the skill you get better at it (and importantly the Attribute attached to it). The way it is now you can level up with a class that does nothing but swings blunt weapons and shoots bows and dump all your points into Intelligence and Personality, which reflects absolutely nothing about your playstyle. It's a "fix", yeah, but it's one that fixes the issue by completely ignoring it and just doing something else. On top of that, you can never get the perfect +5 x 3 level up like you used to be able to if you were careful with MinMaxing. I never did that but I don't see the need to take that from those who did.

The weapon swing stuff is just animations and dodging at Journeyman Acrobatics was always in the game.

For me, when I disable DLSS and switch to FSR, most of the stuttering is gone. And I have a 3080, idk why this fixes the stuttering but it does.

i'll just stick to original Oblivion with mods
i know this is remaster and not a remake but i am disappointed they didn't fix the shit most people despised about the original like that the stupid the speechcraft minigame, it's immersion breaking and it became a chore very quickly

Social Pie is a beloved part of Oblivion. They specifically talk about it in the announce video and assure fans that it's still in the game.
People who didn't like it are in the minority.

There's still a ton of real stuff they could have fixed and probably didn't, though.
