The best controller to use on pcsx2 on Windows 10 or 11?

I use my PS4 and PS5 controllers most of the time (especially because of the symbols), but if you want to be as close as possible to the PS2 - that meaning the pressure sensitive buttons - the PS3 controller is the only bluetooth one that has them, iirc. It's by no means necessary, but it's a nice touch if you're trying to emulate one of the few compatible games.

i too use ps4 controller, it works great its suported without tweaking. And symbols are right as mentioned.

Dualshock 4 just feels right. Not only does it have the same buttons and similar shape as the DS2, but the d-pad is solid as well. I find the Xbox controllers tend to not have great ones, so for games that require them the DS4 is a great alternative. Plus you don't even need special drivers to use it on PC compared to the DS3.

Hey! i use the Manba one wireless, it has built in macro settings as well as turbo functions for every button , i bought mine from amazon and it works really good for my emulation, steam, and even my nintendo switch. its definitely worth a look.

Absolutely seconded. They're surprisingly cost-effective and really reliable. I've got about four in the house, all different models, have yet to regret a single purchase from them.
Ever try using them for 2-Player?
I tried it on my phone and had this weird issue where it could not consistently determine between player 1 and player 2. ?

I did 2-player on a Windows-based machine (laptop hooked up to a TV) running RetroArch and had a similar issue until I turned off power-saving for both USB and bluetooth (it was doing it with the 2.4GHz dongle and the BT connection). It was something about when the port/BT went to reduced power mode, it'd treat whichever it re-detected first as P1, and it was a crapshoot which would connect first. lol

Best?
Ps2 controller with a dongle for those few games that use pressure sensitivity of the buttons but it's extremely minor and something easily bypassed.

My preferred?
Probably something like the saturn pro controller from 8bitdo, though another good one would be the DS4 controller.

The 8bitDo Hall effect wireless pads with the charging dock. I own two of them (one for my desktop, one for my laptop) and these things can take a beating. Constant button presses, left off the charger for days, etc etc. Really durable and comfortable. They're only about 50 bucks USD which isn't bad for a high quality wireless pad. the charging dock has the wireless dongle built in so you don't need two USBs to plug it and the pad in. I use them in literally every single emulator I run and they are detected perfectly in every single one.
