I wish to broach a matter of some curiosity concerning our cherished Animal Girls — the elegant Cat Girls, Dog Girls, and their ilk, those charming embodiments of artistic and cultural fascination.

Pray, what are your esteemed opinions regarding the so-called "Ear Question"? Specifically, should these delightful beings possess solely animal ears, or is it more fitting that they sometimes feature four ears—combining both animal and human features—thus creating a harmonious blend of the two?

Your insights on this matter would be most appreciated, as we seek to appreciate and understand these exquisite representations with the utmost refinement and taste.

I'd stick with having human ears. I'd be a jarring sight to see the void where those are supposed to be. Plus the animal ears would function and compensate to what the human ear couldn't do. Amazing art as always btw.

I Myself Prefer those Noble Creatures to only have one set of Ears as four would look rather odd for me,but this my humble Opinion Gentleman and I hope we stay civil here in our common endeavor of Animal Girls.Sorry for my foolish Error I made before.

Personally, I prefer just the animal ears. Having human ears too breaks the gimmick. Although this means they need a haircut that properly covers where the human ears would be, or else it would look weird.

With human + animal ears, would they use the animal ears or the human ears for earbuds and listening devices?

i think it might be more of a case by case kind of thing. i have a drawing of a raichu girl in my gallery on deviantart and she looks pretty good having the raichu ears where the human ones go, but i'm not having any luck with my pikachu girl drawing with doing the same thing. the long ears look a little weird being in the same spot. i'm still designing her though, so maybe after a few more sketches, i can get something to work out.

I'd say just the animal ears, with hair covering where the human ears would be, looks the best. Having 4 ears looks a bit jarring and alien.

i did some sketching on a pikachu themed character, and i was experimenting with both human and pikachu ears and their location.

To me the animal girl or monster girl always felt too overhyped and overly simplified. If there's any animal people I like it's when it's more than the just animal ears the whole society and biology must see a shift to it. Like viera, ears on top of head like the animal, not in the place were a human's would, pointed nails and feet and even needing their clothing to shape to their feet not simply earing human clothing. I'm also a fan of classic mythic creatures like fauns, centaurs, minotaurs and proper bird like sirens. Yes Animal Ears only. Bonus points if they completely avoid any chance of human ears being covered by hair and have fur run up the side of the face to meet the hair halfway.

I like just animal ears on top. But Dr. Nekomimi here is gonna need some custom gear. That's gonna cost her.

Then again, you could explain it as animal girls have way more sensitive hearing.In fact, they'd probably hate headphones for that very reason. And they can just put one fuzzy ear to your chest and tell whether or not you are healthy. And also if you've got mice in your lungs.
