PC The amount of DLC in Dead or Alive 6 is bizarre.

I was thinking about getting the game to play, but I was shocked by the amount of DLCs. This game has 461 DLCs—yes, 461 DLCs, which include characters, skins, music, scenarios, and accessories. I did the math, and if it were possible to buy the game with all the DLCs, it would cost an absurd amount—almost the price of a PS5 here in my country. Honestly, I miss the times when you had to play to unlock content instead of paying such a high price. The worst part is that it’s only going to get worse from here on, just downhill. What a disappointment.

It's not. They all part of season passes with some exception. So real number is around 10. You complain about ability to buy only one thing from season pass and save money. How this is bad thing?
DoA is most generous among fighting games in terms of free costumes(sorry i don't count costume parts as legit costumes).
But i agree prices are bs considering how old game is.

I didn't know about the season pass because I only saw the game and the DLCs; even so, it's still expensive for an old game.

Honestly, I like to buy the game and that's it, without a season pass and nothing else to buy. Fighting games in the past didn't have that, and the price of this game doesn't seem to be going down.

And this game is already 6 years old.

Just patch in the anime tiddies mod. No need for dlc on PC

Yeah I said "Fuck Team Ninja" when I saw the fuckload of DLC for the game.
With everything, it’s upwards of 300 bucks for basically a T&A fighting game. I did yank it from a certain in-shape girl’s torrent site (you know who's) The base game is what, four gigabytes? But it’s upwards of twenty or so with all the DLC, and half of it is BS recolors of other DLC.

I do (or did anyhow) love the DOA games, but holy hell guys and gals, that’s stupidly overpriced for Fanservice: The Fighting game, ya know

Brah.
This weighs heavy on me too.
Some of my favorite games to play are racing and fighting games.
But honestly, for the past 6-8 years really, I've said "fuck it" with newer games for this very reason.
Piecemeal DLC, micro-transactions, loot boxes effectively ruined these types of games for me and I assume a lot of people as well.

On that note, you see the PS4 jail breaks are up to 12.02? ::winkfelix

I vividly remember grinding at the survival mode of DOA 2 just to unlock all the costumes, it´s a shame seeing what it is now, specially for a 6 years old game.

It's sad; they are ruining many franchises.

Would y'all consider alternate game modes and playable characters that weren't available at launch to be acceptable fighting game DLC?

A lot of content is removed before release and added later through DLC and microtransactions.
But honestly no.

It's out of control, if I see that much idiot bait I just bail out, the damn game will be barebones.
Indeed.

My English is terrible, Jesus.
