Wait, don't tell me you configured the forum dark mode and you're using white font regardless if there are people with white theme?

It was at a time when Nintendo bet on Power but without neglecting Fun and The Technical Specifications of the Console are exact.
Actually, Nintendo 64 was a mess. Its CPU was powerful but the texture memory and cache was so low that it limited the CPU a lot, that's why its graphics looked so blurry and ugly.

Yep, but it still made an aesthetic for gaming for many years to come...

And the issue of cartridges that had a limited storage of between 8 to 64MB (But few games had that maximum storage) and that also limited the graphics and as well as their textures and also the most important thing which is that the optimization because some games of the N64 had performance problems due to how limited it was to get the most out of the console for the same and in addition to the fact that it was a difficult console to program due to its architecture and its instructions I/O that made it difficult to move all the main processing and sub-processing that made it difficult to take advantage of it and especially the storage of the cartridges so limited that it didn't help either.

Actually the N64 had a larger texture cache than the PS1, it was the filtering and way they mapped textures to objects that made it so blurry and ugly looking.

That being said it absolutely was a mess of a console design. Trying to access the RAM was an exercise in frustration where the CPU and GPU had to share the bus, but the RAM had a ton of latency making it ill suited to be shared between the two.

I feel that the Nintendo 64 was awfully maligned because it still used cartridges when even older consoles than itself had already moved on to CDs, but to me Resident Evil 2 ends the debate: it was just as good on the N64 as it was on the PlayStation and kept every single cutscene, too. This was no inferior machine, just a different beast.

And yes, it is true that the character MIPS from Super Mario 64's name is based of the Nintendo 64's Central Processing Unit (CPU)

Change it lol
There is no way I am changing anything into dark mode, contrary to what anyone could say, dark modes cause me eye strain, because I have to change between dark and white all the time as I use computer with the lights on. And no, I am not turning off the lights whatsoever.

Thank you, I will have to create a custom CSS to turn all text inside the comment boxes black :(

Raw numbers yeah, but because of the mip mapping the cache was reduced to the same amount to what PS1 had. PS1 mip mapping was not enforced, so both consoles were limited equally in that regard. It is true that regarding 3D geometry and lightning effects were superior on N64 but PS1 could handle better textures, and as a result sometimes PS1 graphics were looking kind of better in its own way than N64 ones.

Well I mean, you can copy and paste the text and put them in a Google doc and view it or view it on the address bar.

No need, I modified the CSS, now it does not matter what color you are using, it is going to be black :)
