tried it out and yeah that fixed it, realized the problem with the other emulators. The issue is that this game was made with the gameboy's pixel fade-in/fade-out in mind, and kigb actually emulates that effect. When the two backgrounds flicker in and out, it ends up making them even out and display at the same time with that fading effect, but I don't know how many emulators have options for that

Mayve if activate the ghosting effect it gets better.

One of the little known titles of the Game Boy even has an English translation and it is well done and the game looks good for a puzzle game and also Distributed by Technos who are known for being the creators of Kunio-kun & Double Dragon.
