Is this an accurate translation or does it use the highly inaccurate terms for the unofficial translation of the books?

That being said. I wonder if this will be fixed (if they aren't already accurate) when the official translations come out.

I love Record of Lodoss War so this is a cool surprise. Not super far in, but it's a really fun SRPG so far. I got completely destroyed by the dark elf in the mines.

It's so weird to have the name of the system(?) (by abbreviation) in the name of a videogame.

It's like if a book title was "The Great Gatsby - Printed Pages That You Hold in Your Hands"
It's more like "The Great Gatsby: The Movie", which is a type of title you do see all the time. Sword World is a pen & paper RPG, so it's the SFC adaptation of it.

Isn't every RPG a strategy RPG?
No. What do you mean by that?

I was just expecting a typical SNES JRPG and quite delighted and pleasantly surprised to have Character Class choices. What a shame I couldnt play in my 20s when I had more time! I am 46 and I still remember renting the Rolw OVAs at the local public library in Glendale Arizona of all places... there weren't allot of options to see this stuff back then it was one of my first exposures to Japanese anime, so this is MUCH appreciated and pretty interesting game so far!
*a lot
Allot means to portion out.

Instead of RPG it wouldnt be more appropriate to say Strategy RPG?

This is insane! this completes for me a big piece of what influenced japanese media in the 90's Lodoss War and the subsequent Sword World! (reminder that you can now find the original sword world RPG books from way back then fan translated together with the COMPTIQ magazine)

As a fan of both Record of Lodoss War(OVA) and Rune Soldier, I'm actually pretty happy this got a fan TL !

I only have a surface level knowledge of the Sword World TRPG though, so yeah... That said... I really wanna give this a try! Gonna wait until the character creation gets ironed out and is fully usable first though.

I hope one day someone translates Madara 2... For some reason there are lots of translations for lots of games, some of them even have several translations, but never Madara 2 😥
I'd love to see a translation of that one as well, I used to play it when I was a kid even tough I can't read japanese, I got pretty far too

Wait, is this related to Record of Lodoss War?
Yes, Sword World is the system and setting the Lodoss guys made after not being able to get their setting made into an official option for D&D back in the day.
heck yeah sword world! im curious to see how this translates the ttrpg. i should see if there's an english translation of any of the sourcebooks floating around...
There's a fan translation project that has mostly done 2.0 and 2.5 as is working more on 1.0, as well as an official English translation of the core of 2.5 that has recently been announced that will be getting a kickstarter early next year that is possibly going to also do further books if it does well.
