Survival Horror - Next in line?

Just finished Alisa and Res Evil 7

In my backlog I have

Silent Hill Homecoming
Silent Hill The Room
Fatal Frame Project Zero
Res Evil 5
Res Evil 8
Res Evil 2 recent remake (played original)
Res Evil 3 recent remake (played original)
Res Evil 4 recent remake (played 4 HD about three years back)

Getting the best stuff out of the way, what would you suggest next?
If you mean "pick from my backlog", I can tell you that Homecoming is considered the weakest game in its franchise and likewise for Resident Evil 5. I personally would suggest going for Fatal Frame next because I love that series—especially the first game—and I'm biased

I really disliked how RE 5 was clearly designed for co-op. An RE game should be designed for single player first and foremost. Also, while RE 4 still had some horror elements it felt like RE 5 abandoned them completely. It was basically an action movie. Lastly, Chris and Sheva are not as charismatic and cool as Leon and Ada. RE 5 isn't a terrible game. It can be enjoyed as a mindless, co op action game, but it'll be forgotten as time goes on and I don't think anyone is clamoring for a remake.

The boulder scene was great for memes though.

Disagree. I find RE5 to be good in solo and even better in co-op, especially once you set control schemes to one that allows you to strafe and you know how to manipulate your partner well in the former mode.

Res Evil 6 has been my favorite (so far) and probably for the reason most didn't like it: It was a lot more interactive, action-wise. I've watched a review for 5 today and it appears to use the same recipe that 6 did.

Aside from that, 6 had a lot of different locals and teams that you jumped back and forth between. Also felt that 6 had the largest variety of enemies.

I'm installing Village, right now, which appears to be action-heavy as well.

Sheva's AI was stupid and never felt at all like an actual human player helping you.

Dude. No.

Just... No.
(RE6 is NOT "more interactive"; It's just such a downgrade from 5 in every way. Don't even say "MUH ADVANCED MOVEMENT" and "MUH SEQUEL TO PAST PLOTLINES". Just don't.)
P.S. I'm okay with people liking it, but I'm sorry. I'm inherently biased against people like you, aka. The Church of Jake Wesker. You do seem to be a lot more sane than most cultists from TCoJW, however, so my feelings aren't quite as angry.
