I remember having saw a video where a dude explaining videogames history, talked about the possibility of this game being one of the most important games in history, according to him, Titus originally had planned a lot of important mechanics for this game that would have turned it into grand theft auto 3 before grand theft auto 3.
What happened then? The executives who owned Superman rights said no to every one of their ideas, because for example: "we can't have people on the streets because maybe players could want to hit them, and that is something Superman would never do".
So in the end Titus lost all possible motivation and limited to apply the ideas that executives had about what would be a good Superman Videogame, so in the end this is a game directed by people who had not any idea about how a videogame works.

This was one of the few games I owned as a child for N64, so I kinda 'had' to play it.

it's a really bittersweet memory.

This Superman game is without a doubt the worst of the entire franchise and rightly so despite the fact that the Superman Animated Series is wonderful and quite faithful to the Comics of this emblematic Superhero, on the other hand this garbage game does not do justice in the least to the highly acclaimed animated series because it has a lousy Gameplay both in flight and on foot it feels very sensitive when handling Superman in the air and the mission system is monotonous and repetitive as much as possible because it is about flying through the rings or hoops without leaving any and also to save an innocent, defeat the bad guys and etc., The graphics are empty and poor by the standards of the Nintendo 64 of 1999 and on top of that it has some frame rate drops that do not help at all in the game and also came very broken because it is full of Glitches and Bugs that affect the game even more and in the missions that make it look impassive and unprogressable on several occasions, the music is boring and not related to the music of Superman or the animated series either and the sound effects are very mediocre and the learning curve is tedious and frustrating due to the poor design of the mission system in the game and although for some reason it has checkpoints but sometimes not, and these are the reasons why Superman 64 is the worst game in the Superman saga and one of the worst Superhero games in general.

It may have never been uploaded because it's easily top 5 one of the worst video games ever made, but at the same time, it's something everyone should experience for at least 5 minutes. The only game I've ever come across that's worse is Shadow: War of Succession on the 3DO. The only thing that game has going for it from a developer's stand point is that it does boot up. Although for the end user that's a bad thing. Thanks for the upload!
