Harkens back the days when Ikusagami at Gamefaqs was the only source for a SRW GBA translation (he posted 2 on Gamefaqs, a complete one for SRW A and an incomplete SRW R translation); one had to switch between the screen and the translation while reading...

This reminds me back in the day when I printed pages after pages of translation scripts to get through the game like Jump Ultimate Stars on the DS. Than years later, Stars would finally get a english translated rom released.

yay that the thing people would not do a english patch because it is too long and too much time consuming meanwhile we already had Chinese patch of super robot wars another reason why i get so mad at the western people who dont want to make a English patch for any super robot wars series like it so not fair we have deal with these ego smart ass people who dont want to do it srw English patch

welcome to super robot wars fandom where you have to deal with people prefer making lp scripts while other people just want to see English patch the game and it is super rough because at the end of days people is not going to make the english patch of srw game so that why why i have grudge with akurasu and the mods

Be the change you want to see, maybe then you'll understand why making an English patch for any Japanese game is absolute misery.

The thing is, what captivated people to play SRW isn't their stories, considering even a so-called the worst plot in SRW like K had quite a number of fans
Ultimately they just wanted to see the interactions between their favorite mecha anime series as they duked with each other
So translating the general plot dialogues alone wouldn't even be enough to make people understand especially considering how many interaction possibilities and split routes they have, which resulted in massive amount of texts

Hance why it is impossible to translate srw game because it is super too long and its time wasting so this why People plays srw game with Japanese because they just want to to see there favorite mecha show duke it out with another

The only Super Robot Wars game where I read every single line of text and got truly invested in the story was Super Robot Wars T.

The others, especially those from the GBA era, seemed to simply mash up the stories of the respective represented titles ad nauseam, before introducing a big bad at the end.
