Its very likely younger female audiences, who have already been exposed to more stronger female characters over the last decade, may not be as interested in Peach if she was portrayed in the traditional damsel in distress. This is all speculation of course, but its clear that the trailer is focused on capturing more female audience attention. Posing questions like "well why even have the Mario Bros if she is so powerful?" is rather silly when looking at the movie as a whole. Its a fictional world, why not? They don't have to explain anything in such granularity because its never meant to be taken that way. [/QUOTE]
