To date one of the best fangames of this year and represents quite well its fidelity and its essence of the base game that we all know both in the playable, graphic and sound field and also that it also has more content, better graphics, quality of life and even the possibility of being able to play also the level scheme from the SMB: TLL and SMBS (but in this remaster they are better than the originals) and it's a Super Mario fangame that does justice to the 40th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. and it is highly recommended.

GameBanana Mod Page for Custom Characters, Texture Packs, Levels etc. It's easy enough, just add them to the required folder. You can also go into the Characters.json files and fiddle about with the stats if you wish so you could say, increase a characters jump height.. I did this with Tails to make him float longer :D
