Exploration, different runs, speedrunning, playing little games I came up with in my head… it just inspires something in me. It’s like the video game equivalent of a childhood favorite jungle gym, and it’s aged just as gracefully. But the rust I swear makes it more charming. 64 has this weird blend of “basic Mario” theming, but filtered through the insanity of a development team having to imagine everything in 3D and CG for the very first time. The result is a unique vibe that no other game has, and it, combined with the pure fun of the game’s movement, made SM64 stay relevant for decades. I love it, and I was shocked to see no threads for the game. So, I made one! Have fun!
