This was a company best know for making "budget" titles (often retailing in the $20-$30 range), but they also made a LOT of good quality mods and expansions for games such as Duke Nukem, Redneck Rampage, Blood, Shadow Warrior (which they ended up giving out for free years later) and even freaking Carnivores, a fierce candidate for being my favorite dinosaur game ever.

It's weird because I never see them being brought up in conversation, not even among fans of said games, but people seem to agree that they really knew what they were doing.

Rad logo, too.

Ever heard of them and/or played any of their games?

I've never heard of them. There are many good gaming manufacturers but most remain in the background.
