So I was going for a peaceful walk today because the weather was nice and sunny, and this song came up in my shuffled playlist, YouTube music recommended me, and wow. This song is incredibly good, so good in fact I felt the need to share it, here it is and enjoy listening to absolute amazingness:

Gotta like Sting for having a great variety of style in his songs!!! For example my favourite song of him:

This song is quite famous in Spain. Me, who barely listen to music in english, knows this song but I wouldn't be able to say the name nor the singer, as it usually happens with 99% of the songs I listen to, even if I have listened to them 100 times lol.

Enjoy it :)

The thing I like about his songs is that they feel like a journey. Like you are listening of how a story unfolds into this or that in a very beautiful, melodic manner. It's very, very nice.

Usually the artist invite you to their own reality that's like a planet with its own laws of physics and all, therefore usually most artists' art are about same things by using similar elements but when it comes to Sting every work of his art is like standalone different universes. That's what I call peak art here!!!! lol

Art is naturally an expression of your inner world, therefore you use objective elements like words, colors and noise to translate your inner world to a human language to make people comprehend what the art is about in which this is the usual expression. But for Sting things are interesting. He gets inspirations externally and thus his inner world "duplicates" and "changes" to an another universe of another "inner world". That's why his songs not only take place in the same inner world, it take places in special seperate inner world created specifically for the song. That's why it feels like every song of his a journey to another world and from art point this is an amazing thing. Not many people have such artistic expression. It means you have a very rich inner world when your artworks seems like they are produced by another artist, it also shows how complex the artist's personality is!!!!

Yeah it's a real classic. It doesn't age IMO.
It wasn't a number one single or anything but they used it at the end of a big movie (Leon) so it became a famous song to people who were around at the time. The guitar melody's been sampled a lot too.

It's what differentiates a good artist from an exceptional artist. It all starts with a want, this want then evolves into a need, and then this need becomes the sole driving force that almost controls the artist into creating absolute masterpieces that shake the understanding of man. Sting just looked a bit farther than what his peers did; he just thought a bit more about what he wanted his music to reflect, he saw the music notes and asked questions none did before him, he searched and learned from the others before him, and those who have achieved what he wanted, and at the end of the day, he was just like all the others that have come and gone—a seeker. A wanter. A needer. It's this that makes an icon in art.
