Severance: Blade Of Darkness is a game I've wanted to play for a long time now and originally it was for the dumbest reason. When I was younger I use to watch a bunch of "TOP 100 CRAZIEST GAMES" or "TOP 100 OBSCURE GAMES" and lists like that, one in particular that I watched and remembered was "Top 100 Bloodiest/Goriest Games" and Blade of Darkness was shown on there. As a teen seeing it initially my thoughts were just "yup, that sure is bloody. That's why it's on the list" but as looked into it more it seemed like the game used a very specific yet cool system of allowing you to pick up anything in the environment as a weapon which made me want to try it out. However again I was a teen at the time and I didn't even have a proper computer that could run the thing and I definitely couldn't buy it. So eventually I just kinda forgot about the game, until recently when Steam put a remaster of the game into my steam queue which reignited the memory and made me buy the game so I can finally try it out.
So here I am now, about to play it for the 1st time...

However... there's just one thing... I didn't actually remember the name of the game lol. So this could be totally wrong and I picked up a game I've never actually seen before.
Found out the fun fact that steam screenshots don't work this game so I'll just have to snip clip, oh well. Right off the bat we got 4 different lads I can pick from here it seems:
I'M PICKING THIS GUY 100%
So it seems when you click on them it actually does give you more info lol
After all this time I finally have played the game, specifically I just got done with the tutorial. In all honesty this is not how I was expecting this game to control at all. I wouldn't say I dislike it but it's super clunky and hard to get the hang of. For one, the movement is all tank controls which I was not expecting at all and you turn by either holding A or D or by moving your mouse. Also with PC controls you jump using left click which is also your dodge button if your holding any other directions that aren't forward. This all seems to be so that when you get into a actual fight you can press TAB to lock onto a enemy and strafe around them instead. Also the direction you attack in is dependent on which movement key you press right before attacking. So left is a swing to the right, right is a swing to the left, forward is a overhead swing, and backwards is a sweeping low swing. I'm realizing that I don't believe the tutorial even told me how to block despite telling me how to dodge lol. There's a chance it's automatic as long as your not pressing anything. Along with all that the bow aiming is really weird and the only part I would call "bad" since it seems to be wildly inaccurate to where your actually aiming however this could be a class specific thing since it did tell me certain weapons are more or less effective as different classes. Along with all this there seems to be a leveling and skill system but I haven't actually gotten that good of a look into it from the tutorial. I'm gonna take a break to work on some other stuff but I'll send a update as soon as I make some progress in the actual game.
