Why on earth would anyone turn ON the spike bug?

Agreed, it especially bothers me when people refer to it as a "behavior" instead of "bug", if it was intentional it would've been a one hit kill like Mega Man or Tiny Toon Adventures, instead it just damages you even when flashing, furthermore, this doesn't happen with the lava, and it was fixed in Sonic 2 and every re-release of Sonic 1, it's definitely a bug.

Welp, this makes my Hack even more obsolete, I was thinking of sharing it but all it does is fixing bugs and add the spindash, lol.

I think the Sonic Jam build had the spin-dash.

Outside of M2's port on the Switch (Sega Ages) and the GBA Anniversary game Sonic Genesis this was added in each subsequent releases of the game I think.

Authenticity maybe? I've rarely lost the game because of the spikes to be honest.

algunas cosas mejores que el original pero en lo general por debajo ,voces distorsionadas (logo de sega) ,musica remezclada por debajo de la original .
Otras cosas estan bien como poder elegir diferentes personajes y el diselño de sonic .
Para mi no merece la pena

I truly believe it contains all the important critical bugfixes and additions to the best possible Sonic 1 experience. When you add in the nice visual improvements, it really becomes a great catch all option for this game. A lot of options can be toggled, too, like Eggman's voice clips.

Critically, the spike bug is gone and special stages both rotate smoothly and have proper physics, which makes them significantly more controllable.

Some people are still debating if the "Spike Bug" was an intended behaviour or not. Still funny to think about it but then again maybe it was the early days so they weren't sure for every gameplay mechanics.

I've completely forgotten about that hack. I usually thought about using Sonic 1 Forever or do the Sonic Classic Heroes romhack (with Sonic only as an option) but I'd be glad to try that one.
