Neat to see more windows/PC games get added, especially this.

I once had this as a kid, but because I was dumb, and neither did my mother know that the plugged In joypad was causng Issues with menus by making It constantly go right. Ended up returning It because of that. :(

Still a great game, just that It's poor reputation comes from people treating the cntrosl as a platformer Instead of a racer, Immediately pick Sonic thinkign he's goign to be the best racer and can't handle him, then YouTubers use It as fodder for "DIS GAME BAD LOL, PLZ SUB ME.".

You want good advice? A friend said you should bounce off the walls with tight turns, make use of the bouncing. I say Knuckles Is a good A-Tier character to carry you through the entire game, and Amy shouldn't be taken lightly.

I love that the game works great right from the get go, no need to set up the controller, and the music plays fine. When i had the game back on Windows XP, i had no music and the weirdest controller for PC you'd ever seen. Also love that both this and Sonic 3D Blast now load fast. No more long waiting. :D This game rocks! Love the music too!

Got this on my Steam Deck set up with the Sonic R improvement mod on GameBanana, good time despite the lack of stages.

This was my most played game in the Gems Collection I think

Best song btw

I recommend playing it with the Sonic R Updater mod, it provides compatibility with more modern PCs as well as graphical QoL
cool, i was about to ask about the mod scene for this game

this was the version that Sonic Gems Collection used when porting it over there.
Correct, though Gems Collection made a few changes, loading screen altered (is different than the Saturn version also), four players compatible on opposed to only two, and they brought back Sonic's double jump sfx from the Saturn version, very minor changes aside from four players.

A decent port of a game that in itself is not too bad but could have been better especially in the gameplay and content but the music/soundtrack is On Fire ::fire.
