Some parts of the fourm have notifications support, but others don't

It seems to me that the notifications for this site are largely inconsistent with each other. For every single part of the fourm, I get the option of watching the fourm, but nothing shows up. It'll show up like this, and I won't get any notifications from this section of RetroGameTalk.

However, for the Fourm Games and Chatter section, it allows me to get notifications as normal, and I even get them on my notification feed:

Is it possible that this can be fixed so that I can universally get notifications across the rest of the fourm?
