I use MyPaint for sketching, line art, and cel shading. I like it for its distraction-free infinite canvas and its brush engine. While I do sketches freehand, I do the other steps a bit differently. MyPaint has a unique line tool that bends and lets me draw precise curves. With practice, I've gotten to the point where I use it like in the videos below.

I started making these short videos 1) as proof that I'm not using AI and 2) to showcase the unusual method that I use. I'm not sure anyone else uses this technique. (I could upload the videos directly in this post, but the filesize for each is too heavy, so I linked the ones that I've already uploaded to X instead.)

Just looking at your version of SMT Jack Frost makes me wonder what moe versions of the other characters from Jack Bros. would look like. Jack Frost looks good though so thanks.
