it's so tragic how cars are treated these days, both by manufacturers and by consumers. they're making them less reliable, which ironically costs them more money, harder to fix, which costs us and the mechanics more money, and even though the old cars have great engines that are made to last there's always gonna be rust which is sadly what kills most older cars before their engines even start to give. I WANT to be a mechanic, i love cars, but they're paid like shit, treated like shit, and have to deal with cars that shit.

I treat my rides like everything else I own... with care.

I don't blow my hard earned cash on my rides just to beat on them or let them get trashed out.

My dad always taught me... treat your vehicles right... preventative maintenance and respect... and you'll rarely ever be stranded on the side of the road.

The Charger is my daily driver... Forza has nuttin' on me. ?

Man, it's hard being a car enthusiast in the modern market. Can't afford anything, even the shit boring slushboxes are getting more expensive and being turned into bloated SUVs and "Crossovers" or being made electric and costing 4x as much. I hate it so much. At least I'll always have simracing.

i actually fuck with hybrids heavy though a good hybrid is pretty nice they would be the future of commuter cars if politics on both sides weren't so bad

I don't hate electrics, I hate companies pushing them when the tech clearly isn't there yet, and neither is the energy grid ready for them. And again, how insanely expensive they are for what they do.... and the issue with how many modern cars (even non electrics) are just iPads on wheels. Stop with the touchscreens, I can't look at them while driving to fat finger my AC control! Give me buttons and stop spying on me, I don't need my car to know when I fuck someone on the backseat.

Hybrids are cool, and are the way to get this tech developed tho. They're still expensive nowadays, but not as much. F1, WEC hybrid racecars are also really cool. Porsche 919 Evo my beloved. Go watch the Nurburgring Nordschleife hotlap, it is insane how fast that car is.

These days pretty much everything sucks in that regard. Welcome to Chinese manufacturing and planned obsolescence. Should be considered crimes against humanity and punished accordingly if you ask me.

That's pretty much how my dad lost his trusty little dingus, the Fiat Uno Fire. A shitbox if there ever was one but it had all the extra gear he needed as a disabled guy (some thingamajig that allowed him to control the clutch and brake with his hand instead of his missing leg). Rust ate that thing like a motherfucker.
