I've seen news it was closing down and everything was gonna be read-only and all that but im seeing new patches getting uploaded and old ones getting updated.

It doesnt have as many patches and its not that well known compared to romhacking.net

Romhacking.net is not dead, but few of the site owners created a new romhacking site called Romhack.ing where they're putting new romhacks/translations.

I'm not sure what's going on either... it seems now they are hosting new hacks and translations again!
It seems something has happened around 2025-02-15, as that's the time of the first new translation hosted there.

But i couldn't find any news about it in their forum, but maybe i didn't look hard enough.

I've been using that site since I was a kid.

The homie who started it and ran it for most of its life dipped out because people got nasty but he left it in the hands of fans. It hasn't really changed tbh. The download links and project links take you off site now. No big deal really.

So I guess that's eye of the beholder.
